Detailed Itinerary
Chandigarh → Shimla
Morning pickup from Chandigarh Airport/Railway station. Drive to Shimla (120 kms, 4-5 hrs). Evening check-in. Overnight stay.
Shimla → Kufri → Sangla
After breakfast, travel to Sangla via Sarahan (350 kms, 8-9 hrs). Visit the 1500-year-old Bhimakali Temple at Sarahan (one of 51 Shakti Peethas). Also visit the Bird Park (Jujurana & Monal breeding). Continue to Sangla — also called Baspa Valley. Visit Kamru Fort. Dinner and overnight stay.
Sangla — Chitkul — Kalpa
After breakfast, explore Kamru Fort & Temple dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya Devi. Post-lunch excursion to Chitkul — the last village on the old Indo-Tibetan trade route. Walk through green orchards. Return to Kalpa. Dinner and overnight stay.
Kalpa Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, explore Kalpa (formerly Chini) — once a favorite retreat of Lord Dalhousie. Each corner faces the Kinner Kailash peaks. Visit the 79ft rock formation resembling a Shivlinga that changes color through the day. Evening visit Buddhist Gompa — Hu Bu Lan Kar. Dinner and overnight stay.
Kalpa → Chandigarh Drop
After breakfast, check out and drive to Chandigarh (8-9 hrs). Drop at Airport/Railway station.
